Our part of Dorset and Hampshire has a wide variety

of soils but one of the dominant types is the

sandy, acid heathland. Acid heathland soil is ideal for  growing all those ericaceous subjects that folks  gardening on chalk can only dream of.

Rather than let your customers view their heathy soil as a problem, stress the many benefits to them.

They can easily grow evergreen, low maintenance, flowery plants such as Rhodos, Azaleas and Pieris. Once established they go on for years with minimum effort.

For instant impact these chunky Hybrid Rhodos are hard to beat. Lots of big fat buds and 3ft - 4ft high so great space fillers and just £20 +VAT each.

The soil is still warm, no shortage of water, a great time to plant.
